TURQUOISE TEARDROP BEADS NECKLACE & EARRINGS SET~BEAUTIFUL CZECH PENDANT DROP~ELLEN ORIGINAL
I just love the shape of these turquoise beads! A bit pudgy, they are pear or teardrop shaped with very pretty delicate veining in them. The shape of them allows them to lie beautifully around the neck. This is one where I used a lovely old Czech pendant for the center drop. It originally was a necklace which was not completely intact anymore so I used two sections of it to make earrings and one for a top station from which the main pendant drops from. This Czech pendant has a gorgeous large oval glass cabochon which is bezel set in the center of it and which happens to match the turquoise beads perfectly. Right down to the light tan veining, it's so cool! The metal is fine filigree silver which has darkened over the years and now has that beautiful old patina. There are 6 turquoise rhinestones which are replacements for what originally were tiny glass beads. This hangs from the mentioned station which has gilded gold raised metal leaves and an enameled flower blossom. I made this adjustable using vintage silver chain and added an oval turquoise bead to the end along with my Ellen original copper hang tag. As always I have back strung the ends for a clean and beautiful finish leaving no cut or visible cord to be seen there. The necklace measures 17~1/4" in length with an extender chain which is 4~1/8" long. So it's approx. 21~1/2" total adjustable length. It is 1~1/4" wide. the matching earrings are made for pierced ears and measure 2~7/8" long. If you don't have pierced ears I can change them to clips, just email me for that option.
