HAUTE COUTURE BIG SLAB AGATE NECKLACE WITH ART DECO PAVE RHINESTONE ACCENT
I've been wanting to use my art deco pieces which I have a lot of. So I rounded up this very lovely pave rhinestone piece which was a dress clip before I decided it looked awesome on a piece of this slab agate. It is now the focal point on this necklace. Now this is purple slab which has been treated to become this gorgeous color. Beautiful swirls of color in all of the slab beads and with what looks like a bit of druzy quartz in the centerpiece slab. In between the large pieces are vintage faceted glass beads which are from a 1930's necklace. Also used are 1930's rondell beads which are glass. The clasp is an art deco era rhinestone set slide in clasp. I added fancy silver connectors on either side of it which makes it easier to clasp.(And I love to use old with new) The stones are quite large which makes this a heavy piece to wear, but nothing that will be uncomfortable for those of you who wear the big bold couture jewelry. I'm telling you this is simply stunning on! It's wild, unique and totally a one of a kind item! This one has my silver Ellen Original cartouche on the back of the centerpiece. The stones measure approx. 2" long x 1~1/2" wide. The centerpiece measures approx. 3" long and the necklace measures20" in length. You are sure to love this one!
