1930's DECO ERA OLD ENAMELD POT METAL FLOWER BROOCH PIN, DEEPLY MOLDED BLOWN OUT DESIGN
Beautiful and unusual, this large enameled brooch is from the 1930's era. This pin is made out of a hard, non-bendable base metal with a bright silver plating on top of it. It is a deeply molded piece as the flower is "blown out" of the center, making it three-dimensional. The flower is a huge daisy with a large, oval, turquoise colored, lucite cabochon stone the center. Two smaller round lucite cabochons accent each side of this daisy which is enameled in shades of turquoise and dark blue. Interesting smaller blooms with white enameled petals, yellow centers, and green enameled leaves make this a charming and quite ornate pin which features scroll designs in the metal work surrounding the flowers. Reminds me of Victorian art work. The piece is in good vintage condition with a bit of enamel wear showing in some of the daisy petals. Also, the white enameled petals on the small flowers show a bit of loss. The metal is still very shiny in the back and front with the exception of a small spot on one scroll, front side, where the silver has worn off. Nonetheless, it is still a lovely and collectible vintage pin. Measures 2" long x 3" wide.
