RARE DECO ERA FRUIT SALAD GLASS NECKLACE WITH SILVER METAL~FLOWERS & LEAVES
Beautifully made deco era silver plated necklace featuring fruit salad glass in gorgeous colors of emerald green, ruby red, sapphire blue, black and cobalt blue. There are 5 glass flowers which are deeply molded and showing wonderful detail. These are prong set on top of round metal plates. The center red glass flower is set on top of a silver leaf which has bezel set molded green glass leaves on either side of the top of it. Intricately detailed silver leaves and a fine silver chain make up the necklace, it looks to be a Czech piece though it is not signed. The clasp is the old fish hook style which has a delicate design embossed on the top of it. This is a wonderful and rare piece and would be a terrific necklace to add to your vintage jewelry collection. It is in excellent vintage condition, the only wear noted is seen on the back of the center plate where the silver finish has worn and a bit of the brass metal beneath shows through. This is normal for it's age and being on the back does not detract from the beauty of it at all. It looks as striking with currant fashions as it did with the 1920's-30's wardrobe. Measures 18~1/2" long. The V shaped centerpiece measures just over 1~1/2" long. Fabulous!
