Very pretty deep red aurora borealis faceted crystals set in round open back silver mountings make this a lovely and highly reflective necklace. From the 1950's-60's era this necklace features 30 red stones, 6 of which are smaller at the back of the necklace making the extender part. This may be worn in two ways, one with the pointed backs to the front, the other with the AB coated crystals worn to the front. The AB coating on the stones shows slight wear but this really does not affect the brilliance of the necklace. The pointy backs of the stones are excellent with only one stone I found having a tiny nick, so small you have to look very closely to spot it. The silver plating on the shephard's hook clasp has worn off, but again, this does not affect the beauty of the piece at all. Measures 17" adjustable total length. Nice!
