Spectacular ornate Czechoslovakian pendant and brass chain. This is an authentic deco era necklace and the stones in it are gorgeous! The center of the pendant features a large deep garnet red prong set oval rhinestone. Surrounding this stone are nine smaller oval rhinestones is colors of red and golden citrine.Scattered throughout the rest of the pendant are very small yellow or golden citrine colored rhinestones. This pendant is cast in a very hard silver metal. It was brass plated originally but most of this has worn off leaving it a beautiful medium dark silver shade. The pendant has beautiful detailed victorian leaf designs, intricate with a lot of depth to them. If you look closely you can see areas where the brass plating has not completely worn off. This is hard to spot, but it is there. This actually adds to the beauty of this very old piece, giving it beautiful patina. The chain is solid brass and though the links are not large it has weight to it. Each link has a design etched into it and it has the old spring ring clasp. It also has the beautiful patina that is so desirable to the collector of Czech jewelry. Although it is not marked it has the definite design, material and workmanship of period Czech jewelry. It is in very good vintage to excellent condition. The large stones are especially awesome, sparkling and brilliant. This is a fantastic piece for the collector, but you don't need to be a collector to wear and enjoy gorgeous necklace. It will always be in fashion! Measuring 22~1/2" long. The pendant measures a bit over 2~1/2" long x 1~3/4" wide.
