Striking and impressive in size, this necklace combines elements found in nature and features them in this fabulous necklace. This is haute couture Boho, simply a knockout! Made with hundreds, (more like a thousand plus) of tiny wooden beads, many, many small seashells,(too many to count, believe me, a lot, lol!) and a HUGE wide tubular shaped single center bead made of bone where all of the strands go through. This necklace is comprised of 30 strands of beads and shells, with another 41 strands which dangle from the bottom of the enormous center bead cascading down the center. These fall in graduated lengths, really wild! The clasp is also made of large oval shaped bone discs which turn into each other at the center locking the necklace together. Big wooden bead caps cover the ends of the strands, it is a high quality piece. This necklace is vintage, I am thinking 1960's-70's when many pieces were made with wood, shells, bone and other natural materials. The condition is excellent with no problems at all. If you love these over the top, oversize necklaces and look great in them, this is one to buy! Measures as follows: 25~1/2" long. The massive center bead measures approx. 2~3/4" across x 1~1/2" long. The measurement from the top of the center piece to the longest cascading strand is approx. 8". Each clasp measures 1~3/8" x 1". Please email with have any questions you have.
