Very pretty and unusual Christmas tree pin. It is a vintage piece that I believe to be from around the 1970's-80's era. The rhinestones are really beautiful. Large teardrop shapes, complimented by smaller ones make up the main body of the tree. The larger ones are red and green faceted stones with the bottom row of these teardrop shapes done in a different color of green. These are smooth cabochons, not faceted, and have glitter added to the top of them. The very bottom row of the tree is done in round milk glass cabs with glitter on the top of them as well. They look like sparkly snowballs! The smaller teardrop rhinestones that make up the remainder of the tree are milky white glass cabochons with glitter sparkles on them also. A square emerald cut golden topaz faceted rhinestone is set inthe base of the tree. This pin would be a great addition to the X-mas tree jewelry collection, vintage or contemporary! in excellent vintage condition. I will note that the bottom topaz stone has just a bit of foil loss on it, but it really does not detract from the piece at all. Measures approx. 3" long x 1~1/8" wide. Nice!
