Fabulous, chunky, ornate, Victorian revival bracelet from the 1940's era. This is one of the most gorgeous bracelets I've ever seen. The faceted cut glass or crystal stones in this piece are enormous! Their color is rare, gorgeous deep cobalt blue, the two smaller ovals are so rich and dark in color they are mesmerizing. The biggest center stone is an oval shaped one measuring 23mm long x 16mm wide! (1" x 3/4"). Five big stones in total, both oval and round, are bezel set in incredibly ornate silver metal mountings. These five links are extremely well made, heavy and with intricately designed stampings which feature flowers, leaves, stems and fans on 3 of them, and scrolls on the other two. The back of the bracelet is beautiful as well. All of the silver metal components are just gorgeous, with intricate designs stamped into the tubular shaped links on the back also. The three square links each measure 1~1/4" long x 7/8" wide. The two other links measure 1~1/16" long x approx. 1 " wide. They raise up approx. 1/4" tall. The length of the bracelet measures 6~1/2" long and has a wide fold over clasp. It is in excellent vintage condition with only a very slight flaw in one of the stones which looks as if it was done at the time it was made. If it was a tiny nick it has been polished over and you have to look extremely close and at a certain angle to even see it. Otherwise...simply awesome!
