Spectacular large elephant brooch signed KJL. The piece has a bright gold finish on the metal with creamy white enameling on top in several key areas. The elephant has sparkling clear rhinestones set in the ear portion of the design with jeweltone colored diamond shaped stones above those. Glass pearls drop from the fancy headpiece and 2 more pearls drop from the ears. Of course this elephant is wearing earrings, lol! She has montana blue glass cabochons for eyes and red blue and green diamond shaped enameled accents in the white enameled portion of her trunk. This is one fancy elephant. The workmanship is quality as can be expected in Kenneth Lane's jewelry. The brooch is very 3-dimensional and heavy. It measures approx. 3~1/4" long x 2~1/4" wide and is in excellent condition with no wear at all. Stamped KJL with a copyright symbol in front of that on an oval cartouche on the back.Striking!
