Gorgeous old Czechoslovakian necklace from the 1920's-30's era. Though unsigned, it has the distinct materials and design that make Czech jewelry so obvious. This necklace is a lavalier that has a fabulous large pear shaped drop. The green glass beads are a lovely green color with darker specks on each one. Various sizes of beads add beauty and interest to this piece. A beautiful brass connector featuring open work metal with leaves and scrolls in the design attaches the necklace to the lavalier drop. This necklace is in excellent vintage condition. The brass metal has a lovely patina on it which makes these old pieces so collectible. As with all vintages items, when I describe them in excellent vintage condition this does not mean like new, but with proper metal color for it's age and all components such as beads and findings showing no damage. Also, the brass metal in these Czech pieces will not be polished back to a bright gold color as this would make it lose a lot of the antique value. This is a wonderful old necklace which would be a fabulous addition to any vintage jewelry collection, and particularly to the vintage Czech jewelry collection. Measures 19~1/2" long with the center drop area measuring 3~1/4" down from the top of the brass connector. The big pear shaped glass stone measures just under 1~1/2" long x 3/4" wide at the bottom of the stone.Nice!
