This is one gorgeous piece! Classic vintage Trifari Gold and Pearl at it's finest. This is one of the first pieces in the gold and pearl line. It is Ca early 1940's and has a brilliant rhodium plating over the base metal which is also gold in color,Very elegant, and also so tough it makes the pin look almost new after all these years. It has the Trifari crown mark as well as some other unreadable markings (STERLING perhaps??) At any rate the condition on the face of the brooch is minty with no pearl damage, discoloration or peeling. The pearls are egg shaped oval glass pearl cabochons. There is a bit of very light scratching to the metal on the back but nothing that takes away from the beauty of this piece.The pearls are hand set and the pin measures approx. 1~3/4" by 2".
