VINTAGE MIRIAM HASKELL ORNATE NECKLACE & BRACELET SET~PINK GLASS BEADS~BAROQUE PEARLS
large and impressive vintage necklace and bracelet set by Miriam Haskell. This set is from the 1950's era. The gorgeous necklace features an off center design with two round discs which are completely hand wired with small semi opaque pink beads encircled by glass pearls. Layered on top of the largest disc are fabulous hand wired small beads formed in the shape of flowers, three in total. One is in white pearls, one with opalescent pink and clear beads, and one with the solid color pink beads. Guilded brass vining leaves along with brilliants and several larger pearl beads are interwoven throughout making a fabulous and very deminsional focal piece. The other slightly smaller disc has the same intricately designs with one featured pearl flower on top of it. The necklace part is comprised of three strands. The two outer strands are the pink glass beads and the center strand is made with the baroque pearls. The bracelet has the same three strand design on memory wire. The centerpiece continues the same disc design with two hand wired flowers on it, one in pearls and one in opalscent pink and clear seed beads. What is really wonderful is that the flowers are not all identical with variation in the designs. This set is spectacular and in very good to excellent vintage condition. All beads are still securely on and in fabulous condition. The pearls are excellent.The filigree guilded brass metal has darkened and shows a lovely patina. The metal on the bracelet has darkened a bit more, but is still in wonderful condition. It is signed on the bracelet with Miriam Haskell on an oval cartouche. The necklace is signed at the clasp only. Measurements are as follows: The larger round necklace piece is approx 2~1/2" x 2~1/4" with the top varying a bit due to the heavily beaded area at the top half. the smaller piece measures approx 1~3/4" in diameter. The centerpiece design altogether measures 4~1/4" long. The length around the neck measures an adjustable 17~1/2" total length. The bracelet centerpiece measures approx. 2" in diameter and fits small to med wrist sizes. Please email us for any other info you need.
