VINTAGE RHINESTONE NECKLACE~BIG SPARKLING BOW DESIGN~BRILLIANT RHINESTONES~BAGUETTES

Like a brilliant bow along the neckline, this vintage rhinestone necklace will get you noticed, that's for sure! From the 1940's-50's era, it has a wonderful and unusual look due to it's design as well as the variety of different shaped rhinestones. The center of the "bow" is made from a cluster of round stones set in a diamond shaped design with a square stone in the center of the cluster. Two ribbon like tails drop from this center cluster. These tails are set with large baguette stones edged by round stones. The top baguettes in this "tail" are smaller in size adding more interest to the design. The part that goes around the neck is made with three rows of stones. The two outer edges are set with round stones.The center row is set with short baguettes alternating with round stones. This eventually graduates down to two rows, finally ending with a single row of stones at the adjustable back part of the necklace. All of the stones are prong set in a silver metal and soldered together. The workmanship is high quality, clean and smooth everywhere. This necklace is in very good to excellent vintage condition. All stones are present, very clear with a lot of brilliance. I added very good to the description in case I missed any slight color variation in the rhinestones which would only be seen if you looked at this with a high powered loupe. I looked with a good loupe and all stones looked beautiful to my observation. All in all it's a lovely example of 40's rhinestone jewelry. Measures an adjustable 15" total length. The center design measures 2~3/4" long x 1~1/2" wide at the bottom. The rhinestone chain is just under 1/2" wide. Nice!
