Wonderful early Haskell necklace featuring clusters of finely wired glass beads. These very small blue and mauve colored glass beads are nestled in with larger glass beads which are a gorgeous robin's egg turquoise blue color. Tiny clear beads are wired at the ends of the small beads. The clasp is an old spring ring design which has only the rolled side ring which opens it. This is from the period when the Miriam Haskell pieces were not signed, however, I've included photos from the "Miriam Haskell Jewelry" book to verify the design, style and construction which is distinct in Haskell jewelry. (The necklace and earring set pictured is valued at 350.00-450.00.) This necklace is consistent with the design elements and construction of pre-signature Miriam Haskell pieces. Please note the book photos I've taken showing a set very much like this necklace. Measuring 16" long and in excellent vintage condition, this would be a terrific addition to the advanced Haskell collection. Nice!
