You have to LOVE flamingos to wear this huge necklace! This is an absolutely adorable and excessively large flamingo necklace. The beads are white plastic and the flamingo seems to be some sort of hard plastic, composition or highly enameled painted wood. Whatever it is, he is wonderful. Terrific detail, beautiful enamel work, this one is too much! It is from around the 1960's-70's period and is in excellent vintage condition. It is artist signed on the back. I am not familiar with this artist, it looks like Sharon - Si'ti. The flamingo measures 6" across, 6~1/2" from the top of his head to the bottom of the longest feather and approx. 3" long from the top of his back to the bottom of the longest feather. It measures 19" in neck length with a barrel clasp.Wild!
