Black and silver deco vanity case by Yardley London. This has all the items a lady in the 1930's would need when out and about.Lipstick, swivel tandem mirror, powder and rouge compartments, quite a handy little item! This one has an enameled black and white center with a brass stamping of a european mother and two children. Wonderful art and design on this compact, it is hard to find them these days. The case is in excellent condition, and the enamel work is nice, but with a tiny bit of loss in thre center white area, and a bit of minor scratching on the black enamel on the back. There is a tiny ding in the top part of the black enameling in the front, that looks much bigger in the photo than it is.You have to turn it a certain way in the light to see it.This is very minor, the compact is simply beautiful. The inside is in beautiful shape as well, the powder part needs a refill, but the rouge has quite a bit of it left. The lady must have loved the lipstick as that color is gone.A charming look into the past, and fun to imagine the one who owned this. The patent number on the inside looks to be 1802858 and marked Yardley London.Measures 2 1/2" long by 2" wide. Not quite 1/2" deep.
