OLD BAKELITE GRAPE CLUSTER DRESS CLIP~AMBER~APPLEJUICE BEADS
Wild and fun this bakelite dress or fur clip has a bunch of balls! It looks like a big cluster of grapes to me, especially with the dark and light transparent bakelite. Applejuice and amber colored bakelite beads drop from old brass chains which are attached to an old plastic or celluloid pierced back. I am not sure if this is an old Haskell piece, but I did add photos to show the backs Haskell used before her pieces were signed. (This is in the book "Miriam Haskell Jewelry" by Cathy Gordon and Sheila Pamfiloff.) The applejuice beads literally glow! From the 1930's-40's period this is a wonderful old collector's piece that has a lot of interest as it dangles moves and glows while you wear it.It's in excellent vintage condition. Tested positive for bakelite with simichrome. Measures approx. 3" long x 2" wide.
