What to do with one half of a large and very impressive art deco belt buckle? I decided to resurrect it into a wearable work of art, in this case a very wide black plastic or lucite bangle bracelet. I was especially happy to find several extra wide black bangles, and even more thrilled that they are made for small wrists, yahoo! I apologize to you ladies who have larger wrists but it is almost impossible to find the really wide plastic bangles that fit those of us who have 6" (and even smaller) wrist measurements. And this one has a very small inside opening which measures 2~3/8". I have a 6~1/4" wrist and it fits so nicely, the centerpiece absolutely does not roll over, it stays perfectly on the top of my wrist. Looks fabulous on too! As stated above, the decoration is an authentic 1930's piece featuring pave set rhinestones, baguette stones in clear green and red colors, gorgeous very high domed glass cabochons, one green, one red, and molded glass leaves. Perfect to wear for the holiday season, but really, it looks great anytime of the year. The rhinestones are very bright and sparkle nicely and the whole piece is made of pot metal. Please keep in mind the stones are very old and though sparkly they have lost a bit of the clarity they originally had because the glue they are set with has turned slightly yellow. But this does not detract at all from the piece, just shows a lovely look from being around so long. And it t really makes a statement when you wear it as it measures just under 2" wide, 1~7/8" to be exact. Sooo, if you love art deco jewelry as well as big showy pieces you will be sure to love this bracelet. Oh yes, almost forgot to add....it is signed with my Ellen Original cartouche on the inside.
