VTG FACETED POOLS OF LIGHT QUARTZ ROCK CRYSTAL BEADS NECKLACE~CLEAR GEM QUALITY
Exquisite faceted clear quartz crystal beads necklace from the 1940's era. I am listing it as a pools of light piece even though the crystal beads are faceted. Because of the quality and cut of the beads seen in this necklace each bead throws out a beautiful pool of light which is captured even in a photograph. The quartz beads are extremely clear and reflective, really beautiful. This piece is an authentic vintage necklace and is in excellent vintage condition. I have added close-up photos of the beads showing very faint inclusions so you can be assured these are gemstone quartz beads and not glass. Quite a few necklaces of that period were strung with clear quartz beads & many today go unchecked and are sold as glass or crystal beads. So please take a good look at the close up photos where I have highlighted the inclusions. There are very few and are extremely faint, but you can see they are most certainly rock quartz inclusions. The beads are gorgeous, no visible nicks, chips or cracks. You may see a tiny fleabite here and there if looking at them under magnification but this is very minimal and not unexpected in a piece from this period. It does not affect the beauty or value of this necklace in any way. The beads are strung on silk and graduate in size with the largest bead in the center measuring 12mm round. It has a unique silver plated shepherd's hook clasp which has an art deco rhinestone decoration soldered onto the top of it, a lovely addition and very pretty. It has an extender which is made with 5 hand wired beads. Expertly strung there is no play or loose silk showing at the ends. Measuring 17" in length this beauty will be a wonderful addition to any vintage fine gemstone jewelry collection.
