UNSIGNED WWII ERA MIRIAM HASKELL DRESS CLIP~BLACK ENAMEL LEAVES~GLASS BEADS~BOOK PIECE
Fabulous early Miriam Haskell dress clip featuring a massive cluster of turquoise glass beads, painted black enameled leaves and glued in rhinestones. One of the desirable and rare WWII era unsigned clips which has the glass beads hand sewn onto a pierced plastic back and wired to the metal separator bars. This exact clip is pictured in two places in the book "Miriam Haskell Jewelry" by Cathy Gordon and Sheila Pamfiloff. A full photo and description of it is seen on page 157 and a close up is pictured on page 43. (I've included a photo) This brooch measures approx. 2~3/8" long x approx. 2~5/8" wide. It is in excellent vintage condition, all beads are excellent and the painted black enamel is intact. The only thing to note is that a few of the tiniest rhinestones have darkened a bit. This is not unusual and does not effect the beauty or value of this piece. All in all a beautiful and collectible piece that will be a terrific addition to the early Miriam Haskell jewelry collection.
