VTG BIG COUTURE IRIDESCENT NAUTILUS SHELL NECKLACE~MOP & SPIKY SEASHELL BEADS
The nautilus seashell featured in this vintage necklace is exquisite! Highly iridescent, shimmering in the light, it's simply captivating. I've had this necklace for years as part of my seashell jewelry collection but don't wear it often enough now, and this is one to show off! Accenting this lovely shell are lightly dyed shells, bright silver coated plastic round beads and 3 strands of polished mother of pearl beads. The MOP beads are strung together making a very pretty twist or rope design for the neck chain ending with a slender shepherd's hook clasp. This necklace is vintage, dates to the 1960's-70's era. It is in excellent vintage condition for its age. The only thing I will note is that the nautilus shell has 2 microscopic nicks at the top outer edge. These are so tiny you have to look at it closely to barely see them. This is not seen unless you are looking for them and in no way effects the beauty or value of this necklace. Overall it's a fabulous and very striking piece which will get attention every time you wear it. I know, when I wore it people always asked about it and wanted to touch it, lol! Measures approx. 24" long, the shell measures approx. 2~3/4" across x 2" long.
