VTG GLASS PEARLS & GOLD LEAF SEASHELL NECKLACE~3-D NATURAL 18k GOLD DIPPED LEAF
I made this necklace originally in 2009 and decided to keep it for a while. It's my obsessive shell thing, just love em, lol! But, there are more on my design table so this one is now listed for sale. This is so pretty on, and quite dramatic as well due to the huge gold dipped leaf which I applied to the shell. Though large, the leaf is very light weight so you ladies who love the big pieces but don't wear heavy necklaces this is perfect for you! The leaf is gorgeous, very 3-dimensional with the delicate veins showing through the gold. And the furled & curled edges are just awesome, nature makes the most wonderful designs. I added a small vintage 3 flower cluster to the center top of the leaf. It's made of ceramic and is a pretty cornflower blue color with golden topaz colored rhinestones in the center of each bloom. Vintage glass pearls and tiny gold beads make up the neck portion of the piece to which I added a vintage chain for the extender. This chain is beautiful with embossed links which are gold plated in a complimentary rich gold color you see on the leaf. This style is especially nice to wear to a beach or tropical theme wedding, I've sold some for that type of event before, if you go to my "about me" page you can be directed to my website which has the sold pieces available to view. The necklace measures an adjustable 19~3/4" total length. The vintage extender chain measures 2~1/2" in length. The centerpiece measures 3" long x 2~3/4" across and the leaf comes up 1~1/4" high from the shell. It is signed Ellen Eaton on the back, dated 2009 and also has my copper Ellen Original hang tag. Pretty, pretty, pretty....
