Spectacular (and quite rare these days) this is a HUGE vintage cellulose acetate brooch with matching clip back earrings. Fabulous deep reddish pink colored plastic which is beautifully shaded being darker in the center of the petals graduating to a very light pink shade at the edges. Gorgeous true pink rhinestones are set in the center of the flower making a big and striking cluster. These breathtaking pins were made in the 1940's era and because of their extra large size and somewhat fragile material it is difficult to find them in excellent condition today. But...this set is most excellent, with beautifully formed triple layered petals with no problems anywhere. The plastic is very clear with no dulling or fading and the rhinestones are excellent, sparkling brilliantly. The only metal used in this set is the metal pin back and earring clip mechanisms which are gold plated. If you collect these beauties this is a set to get for sure! The pin measures an incredible 4" across at the widest point and stands approx. 1/2" high in the center, the earrings measure approx. 1~7/8" in diameter. Nice!
