IMPORTANT: this bracelet has a very tight locking clasp which may be difficult for a person to work by oneself. If you have someone to help you put it on it is a wonderful bracelet to own!
What a lovely Etruscan revival bracelet! This one features beautiful and fine wire work along with rose gold design accents and green gold leaf designs. These are so difficult to find anymore and especially in good condition. This piece is in very good condition considering it's a Victorian bracelet, over 100 years old. The clasp locks tight when snapped closed and the wire work is in excellent condition. The top or main part of the bracelet is in excellent shape, the back shows some wear to the gold finish where it seems like someone may have polished it there too much. This does not go down to the dark base metal and doesn't detract from the piece. There is some very light pitting at the back part of the piece and one small spot where the base metal shows, but again, this is minor and really not noticed at all when wearing it. (see enlarged close-up photo) Please keep in mind that close-up photos make these areas appear more defined, as they are enlarged. There is a stamp on the inside of the clasping area. It looks like a double U and then the initials S W. I do not know the company, if a kind ebayer does know anything about this signature please send the info along. Being from the Victorian period this bracelet is a small size. It fits my 6~1/4 wrist perfectly with room to move. It is an oval shape with the inside opening measuring 2~3/16 x approx. 2". It is a bit over 1/4" wide. Really beautiful...
