VTG 1960s GREEN & BLACK ENAMEL on GOLD FISH PIN~HIGH QUALITY~HEAVY~FINE DETAIL
Super nice vintage fish pin from the 1960's era. This one is signed but I am not familiar with this mark. It is an embossed triangle with what looks like a bird etched in the center of it. But it may not be a bird at all, could be letters or something else. It is not legible to me. No matter, it is an enchanting piece! High quality construction with textures in the metal giving the fins a very proper fishy look. But the best is the enameling in the center of the brooch. Transparent green with opaque black accents, the texture of the metal beneath the enamel shows through in the green areas. His face area is opaque glossy black with upraised gold metal separating the face enamel from the enameling on the body. I must say this is a very cool looking fish! In excellent vintage condition this fish measures 1~5/8" long x 1~3/8" across. Wants a good home, preferably with other critters, especially fish!
