VTG SEA SHELL NECKLACE SET~CROWNED PRICKLY WINKLE CANDY TOP SHELLS PLASTIC RIBBED BEADS
Rare and beautiful vintage seashell necklace and earrings set from the 1940's-50's era. This set features Crowned Prickly Winkle Shells, also known as Candy Top Sea Seashells. These shells are found around the Indo-Pacific area. The necklace has 17 shells with maroon colored ribbed plastic beads which are strung in between each seashell and actually fit snugly into the the open area at the bottom of each shell fitting together perfectly. These are all strung on silk and then attached to a fine silver (plated) chain. The matching earrings are screw backs, each with a shell dropping down and a plastic bead with a sparkling rhinestone set in the center of it at the top. This set is in excellent vintage condition with no damage to any of the shells at all. The necklace measures an adjustable 16~1/2" total length, the earrings drop down 1~3/4" total length. These vintage shell necklaces are so charming and very fun to wear, especially when on a nice beachy vacation. Very vintage and very unique,you'll be the only one with a set like for sure!
