VTG ROSE QUARTZ, MOP & VIBRANT ABALONE PAUA SHELL INLAY NECKLACE SET
Ca. 1960's~1970's 2 strand mother of pearl beads necklace and earrings set. This set contains a combination of polished mother of pearl and rose quartz beads and a large center piece made of gorgeous paua (abalone) shell. The necklace also has tiny faceted bicone crystal beads which are stung in between the rose quartz beads. These add just the perfect bit of sparkle to it. The necklace is substantial being double stranded and supports the large off center pendant which shimmers in a soft yet vibrant paua shell inlaid design. This center piece is actually a stylized water lily design, very striking. The matching pierced earrings are a nice large size as well and are also inlaid with this beautiful shimmering paua shell. This set is quality all the way. The workmanship is flawless here, the stringing is still nice and tight to the clasp which is a beautiful and very substantial embossed gold plated box and tongue style clasp. In excellent vintage condition the double strand necklace measures 24" long. The inlaid pendant measures 2 1/4" wide by over 3" long and the earrings measure 3/4" wide by 2" long. Truly an exquisite vintage demi parure.
