VTG 3 STRAND PINK BLUE RED BEADS NECKLACE SET~GLASS PLASTIC~GREAT 4 CHRISTMAS!
Fabulous colors with hot pink as the main shade but with red and accents of royal blue and gold, this vintage necklace and earrings set sizzles! Made with three graduated strands of various sizes of round glass pearlized beads along with oval and round iridescent plastic beads which look like the colorful foil covered chocolate candy eggs you see in Easter baskets. Perfect for the Christmas holiday season as well, the colors are so festive, the beads look like mini Christmas ornaments These iridescent beads have light silvery gold colored filigree bead caps, very light and pretty. A few aurora borealis coated plastic beads add even more iridescence to the mix. Tiny transparent gold glass beads are used in between each and every pink bead making a truly beautiful necklace. Matching clip back earrings are hand wired and come with the original store display card. The set is in exceptional condition. The necklace is in excellent vintage condition and strung tight to the connectors with no play at all in the string. The beads are excellent as well in both earrings and necklace. The only thing to point out is that the light silvery gold plating on the metal of the clip earrings has worn off and the brass metal beneath shows through. Nothing unusual for a set from the 50's-60's era, and does not effect its beauty at all when wearing it. Altogether a wonderful and bright set to wear as well as a lovely set to add to the vintage costume jewelry collection. The necklace measures an adjustable 20" total length with a shepherd's hook clasp which is stamped Japan. The earrings are also stamped Japan and measure 1" round in diameter.
