This fabulous set marked Christian Dior by Kramer is one for the books! I was told it is in a book which lists it in the 2200.00 price range but I don't have the book to photograph at the moment. I am hoping to get a photo with this set pictured in the book fairly soon. But for now I will say it is an exquisite example of a very high quality trembler set made in the 1950's era. It is a full parure which includes a necklace, bracelet, brooch and screw back earrings. All clear rhinestones are pave set in beautifully designed upraised 3-dimensional flower centerpieces which tremble, these were certainly made to fascinate. All of the flowes have extreme facet cut rhinestone centers which are prong set. In the necklace you see leaves and small flower blossoms below the main trembler flower as well as leaf accent pieces along the rhinestone neck chain. The matching bracelet consists of 2 rows of rhinestones and an art deco style fold over clasp. The stones in the neck chain and bracelet wrist chain are all prong set. The set is very good vintage condition with a couple of things to point out. All stones are present with only a very tiny ones few here and there which have darkened over time. With so many sparkling stones this does not effect the brilliance or beauty of the set. Also, it looks as if the fold over clasp had a tiny something on the top of it which is not there any longer. I took a close up photograph of this, but again, it does not take away from the beauty of this set at all, but noted. The trembling flowers in the necklace and bracelet do not tremble much at all, the one in the bracelet moves more than the one in the necklace. That's all I needed to bring up in the condition of this parure. The trembler flower in the pin trembles beautifully and the screw back mechanisms in the earrings function properly. All pieces are signed except for the earrings. The metal is silver rhodium plated and shows a brilliant finish. The bracelet has the original safety chain too. Measuresments are as follows:
Necklace-14" long with a center focal point which measures 2~1/2" across x approx. 2" long. Trembler flower measures approx. 1~3/8" in diameter
Bracelet-7" long, centerpiece measures approx. 2" across x 1~1/4" long
Brooch-2" long, the flower measures approx. 1" in diameter.
Earrings-approx. 1" in diameter.
A magnificent set to be sure!
