RARE VTG TRIFARI RHINESTONE TOMATO PIN~SILVER RHODIUM PLATED~DOUBLE STAMPED

This rare vintage tomato brooch has all of the elements that make Trifari pieces so desirable. Tiny sparkling pave set rhinestones, rhodium plating and rivited construction, it's fabulous! The tomato design is actually elegant, with long striking leaves flowing up from the fruit itself. Half of each leaf has pave set stones in it while the other half is brushed silver. The design is also very dimensional with curved up leaves that flow up and out from the crown of the tomato. The rhodium plating is in like new condition, showing no wear at all. The rhinestones are all present and sparkling, altogether the piece is in excellent vintage condition. It is stamped Trifari on the back and has the crown over the T with the copyright symbol next to it. This mark was used after 1955 dating this piece to 1955-1960's. What makes this mark unusal is that the word Trifari is double stamped, something that does not occur very often and adds interest to the piece. If you collect the hard to find Trifari pieces and fruit pins too, this pin will be a unique addition to your collection. Measures 2~3/16" long x 2~1/8" wide.
