HUGE EISENBERG RHINESTONE BOW PIN~AUSTRIAN CRYSTAL STONES~STONE SETTERS MARK A
This large Eisenberg bow pin is an authentic early 1920's-30 period piece. This is unsigned, however it does have the stone setter's mark "A" clearly stamped on the back of it. Information can be found on the web about the setter's marks on these very old Eisenberg pieces. This brooch also has the distinct and spectacular austrian cut crystal stones in very large sizes. At the top are huge rounded edge square stones, and the bottom of the bow has huge oval stones. These have the gorgeous extreme facet work that show stars in the center when viewing them up close. Other stones in this pin are the big emerald cut baguettes that Eisenberg used in their earlier jewelry. The brooch is in very good to excellent vintage condition. What most collectors look at are the condition of the stones and in this pin they are brilliant. The middle oval stone on the right side has the most noticeable wear of the back foil, but even so it still sparkles brilliantly and is hardly noticeable. The stones are so spectacular and brilliant you really don't see the foil wear unless you are looking at the pin close range. It does not detract from this brooch. In the two bottom oval stones the foil wear is so minimal it is seen with a loupe and not really noticeable otherwise. The top squared round stones are almost perfect and you would really have to look under powerful magnification to see any fault in those stones. The baguettes also look excellent when looking without a loupe, and you see only minimal foil loss under magnification. The only stone that has darkened enough to notice without a loupe is the small center stone between the top baguettes. This is a detailed description of the very important condition of the crystal stones and if you have any more concerns please email me. The rest of the smaller stones are very good, very sparkly with little to no dulling or fading to be seen. When looking at the bow the main stones are so large and magnificent that it is truly stunning. Made of non-sterling hard silver metal this pin in very solid and quite heavy. A gorgeous and rare item for the collector, it measures 2~3/8" long x 2~1/2" wide.
