1920's-30 CRYSTAL BEADS NECKLACE~FINELY FACETED PURPLE CRYSTAL ~STERLING CLASP

Very pretty crystal beads necklace from the early 20th century, circa 1918-30. The purple crystal beads are beautiful in a variety of shapes and sizes. The round beads are intricately faceted with a lot of cuts which reflect the light beautifully. The longest cylinder shaped beads are cut and polished along the full length of each one making a six sided bead. Elongated pyramid shaped beads and small bi cone shapes are added, as well as slender elongated oblong (torpedo) shaped beads which also feature very intricate facet work. (These are seen from the middle to the back of the piece.) The clasp is the very old simple spring ring style which does not have the thumb hook on it which dates it to pre 1920. Stamped sterling on the clasp this necklace was made for a very slender neck, measuring 14~3/4" long. The stringing is expertly done with great attention to finely finished ends which are backstrung and very clean. This piece is in excellent vintage condition. It would be lovely to wear for a wedding or prom and would be a terrific gift for the young collector, especially a daughter or niece. This will arrive in a gift box. Sweet...
