This 1940's eraTrifari brooch is spectacular in every way.The size is incredible and the rhinestones are fantastic! The design is a giant flower blossom with an open starburst shape. Ten flower petals surround a center area which features a huge smokey blue aurora borealis faceted center stone. Surrounding this stone is a ring of marquise shaped clear rhinestones which are raised up from the petals to the bottom of this huge stone. The petals are all set with smokey blue round aurora borealis rhinestones . These AB stones are so unusual in color also. They actually resemble saphiret glass stones in color, really striking. In the center of each petal there is a row of clear baguette rhinestones. These graduate in size from the largest at the top of the petal to the smallest at the bottom. At the tip of each of these rows of baguette stones is a rare triangular shaped small clear rhinestone. The silver toned metal has a rhodium plating and the whole piece is in excellent vintage condition. All stones are present with lots of sparkle. The AB coating on the stones is very good. There are a small number of stones with a bit wear to the AB coating but this does not detract from the beauty of this magnificent brooch. There are just so many brilliant stones in this due to it's massive size that you don't really notice any wear to any stones. It is truly a knock-out! Please note it is very difficult to get aurora borealis rhinestones to photograph well. This pin is so much prettier than what the camera can capture. If you collect high end designer pieces you will love this one!Signed Trifari with the crown over the T in small letters on the back along with a c in a circle next to the name. Measures a full 3~1/4" in diameter. Gorgeous!
