Exquisite art deco lavalier necklace dating to the 1920's - early 30's era. One of the most lovely ones I've seen this one features all silver filigree metal with a rhodium plated finish which keeps it looking like new. The lavalier drop has a squarish oblong shaped emerald cut purple glass stone in the center of it which is bezel set. This stone set is set on top of a filigree metal station which is further enhanced by gold (filled) leaves on the top and bottom of it. It drops from a triangular shaped filigree station which makes up the lavalier portion of the piece. The neck chain is comprised of filigree metal links and bezel set faceted square purple glass stones ending at an embossed metal box clasp. The small, slender connectors are also embossed. High quality construction is seen in every aspect of this necklace. This piece is in excellent vintage condition. Please see all close up photos which show all of this in detail. Altogether a fabulous example of period filigree art deco jewelry. Necklace length measures 17~3/4 long, the center piece drops down 2~1/8" total length, the station with the stone measures 1~1/2" long x 9/16" across. Gorgeous~
